Have your say on the project

We will be establishing Construction Reference Groups for both the Altone Road interchange and the Drumpellier Drive / Daviot Road interchange.

The groups will provide local residents a direct forum to receive project updates, provide feedback on design and raise concerns for discussion.

If this sounds like what you would like to be involved in and live in project area, please complete an online nomination form to express your interest.

Nominations close 3 October 2025.

Clearing works to begin in late September

We are planning to commence vegetation clearing works from late-September. These works will be staged and ongoing till early December, starting on the north side of the Reid Highway / Altone Road intersection.

Clearing is an essential step to allow for new infrastructure upgrades to be built in this highly constrained area. Upgrades include bridges, ramps, Principal Shared Path (PSP) connections and noise walls.

We are committed to minimising clearing where possible and will be working on a landscaping and replanting strategy for the project. More information will be provided as this progresses.

For more information on our clearing works, view the Frequently Asked Questions.

What else is happening in September?

We continue with nighttime early works and will start to install temporary traffic barriers and remove existing wire-rope barriers and kerb.

We will also begin to establish the main site compound in the north-eastern corner of the Reid Highway and Drumpellier Drive / Daviot Road intersection.

Planning is underway for temporary detours to local path networks, including the PSP, to allow construction to commence in these areas while ensuring safe access for pedestrians and cyclists. More information will be provided as planning progresses.
