Calling Western Australian artists and creatives

The project is seeking Western Australian artists and creatives to submit Expressions of Interest to design artwork for integrated anti-throw screens.

The opportunity forms part of the Thomas Road and Tonkin Highway interchange in Byford, with the selected artwork to be integrated into large-scale perforated screens on the Thomas Road Bridge.

This design-only opportunity would suit artists working across graphic design, illustration, digital art, pattern design or other two-dimensional design practices. Artists should be confident preparing and supplying artwork as digital files and interested in how art can contribute to integrated infrastructure outcomes.

Artists living within the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale, or with a strong connection to the area, are strongly encouraged to apply.

The opportunity is the first to be released as part of the project’s broader Public Art Program, which will include a range of artwork opportunities across bridge structures, underpasses, shared path walls, gateway locations and interpretive signage.
