Boorloo Bridge Lighting

Boorloo Bridge is an iconic new landmark, transforming Perth’s skyline both day and night thanks to its sophisticated integration of architectural and feature lighting.

Boorloo Bridge is more than a structure; it is a living narrative, a place where the past and present converge, and where the spirit of the land and its people continue to thrive.

The high-tech stay cable system for the bridge pylons features 17,130 architectural LED light units integrated into each stay cable duct creating a huge digital canvas.

Each LED light is individually controlled allowing the creation of sophisticated feature lighting. The feature lighting is complemented by uplighting on the boomerang and digging stick pylons to highlight the architectural features and downlighting of GOBO projectors to display images on the bridge deck.

This week’s lighting:

  • Easter Monday, 21 April - Easter Display
  • Tuesday, 22 April - Djeran / Caring for Country
  • Wednesday, 23 April - Djeran / Caring for Country

  • Friday, 25 April - Anzac Day
  • Saturday, 26 April - Djeran / Caring for Country

Viewing of the lighting is best from a distance, the vantage points can be found here. The bridge lighting turns on just after sunset and remains on until midnight.

You are invited to discover the cultural narrative and symbolism of the lighting stories as you view them with the descriptions below:
