We're proud to be recognised for incorporating sustainable initiatives

Two major projects recently achieved a ‘Bronze’ Planning Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) Rating from the Infrastructure Sustainability Council (ISC), paving the way for future projects to deliver strong sustainability outcomes.

The Bronze ratings recognise the joint effort between Main Roads and Arup for best practice outcomes in sustainability, requiring a minimum score of 20 for projects valued over $100 million.

Tonkin Highway Extension achieved a score of 27.2 points

Tonkin Highway Corridor achieved a score of 30.93 points

A number of projects are going above and beyond this, recognising the importance of incorporating sustainable initiatives into our major infrastructure.
