Main Roads Western Australia collects personal information provided through forms and digital services to assess, process and administer heavy vehicle regulatory functions. These include the WA Heavy Vehicle Accreditation (WAHVA) Scheme, WAHVA Auditor Certification, Heavy Vehicle Pilot License, listing or updating vehicles and trailers, heavy vehicle permits and access approvals, and heavy vehicle incident reporting.

This information is collected under the authority of the:

  • Road Traffic (Vehicles) Act 2012
  • Road Traffic (Administration) Act 2008
  • Road Traffic (Vehicles) Regulations 2014
  • Road Traffic (Authorisation to Drive) Regulations 2014
  • Road Traffic (Repeals and Amendments) Regulations 2014
  • Road Traffic Code 2000
  • Main Roads Act 1930
  • Cocos (Keeling) Islands Act 1955 (Cth)

The information is used for regulatory assessment, compliance monitoring, safety assurance, operational decision-making and enforcement activities related to heavy vehicle operations in Western Australia.

If you do not provide the requested information, Main Roads may be unable to process your application, assess eligibility, or fulfil statutory obligations.

Your information may be disclosed to other State and Commonwealth government agencies, law enforcement bodies, and contracted service providers where required for regulatory, safety, compliance or service delivery purposes.

Once submitted, the form will be sent to the Main Roads Digital Communications Team, and you will recieve a reciept. Once your document has been uploaded onto the website, you will recieve a confirmation email.

If you require multiple documents to be uploaded (as part of the annual clearing documentation process), please contact the Digital Communications team (communications@mainroads.wa.gov.au) to discuss.
