Category 2 - Service Signs

This category contains signs that are currently in use and will only be supported in the future until such time as all existing signs have been removed or replaced under normal maintenance arrangements. 

Installation of new Category 2 signs and replacement of existing Category 2 signs is not permitted. Details of signs that are to be used in lieu of these signs are given in the relevant section.

2.6.1 Advance Direction Series: MR-SAD

2.6.2  Intersection Direction Series: MR-SID

	ABATTOIR	MR-SID-1 (L or R)	These are all forms of the G7-4-1 Sign (Position-point and chevron ended sign with one service). The width varies depending on the applicable text. Warrants for the use of signs for specific services may be obtained from the Service Sign Guidelines or by contacting Main Roads. For signs with one line of text, use MR-SID-33. For signs with two lines of text, use MR-SID-34.
