The Bunbury Outer Ring Road project recently celebrated International Women’s Day by showcasing some of the 60-plus females working on the project.

Our female employees work tirelessly across many project roles including procurement, communications, safety, engineering, project management and machine operation.

One of these women is Alex Gorman, an Environmental Advisor who calls the South West home. Alex graduated with a Bachelor of Science and previously worked with the City of Bunbury. The appeal of working on this project is the lasting legacy it will leave.

“Working on the Bunbury Outer Ring Road has given me the opportunity to contribute to something that’s a legacy to this region. Growing up here, being a part of this opportunity and being part of the environmental team gives me a sense of pride” says Alex.

Alex’s advice for women considering a career in the construction industry is “to go for it, it’s a great place to work. Follow your dreams.”
