Raymond Road is Up and Running!

In an exciting project first, the Raymond Road bridge is now carrying public traffic. There’s more to come as 2024 brings us more local road openings.

The construction team on BORR has been working hard to get Raymond Road up and running and now the first bridge on the project is in use.

The Raymond Road bridge is a grade separated interchange that will ultimately connect to BORR as you travel both north and south. The upgraded local Raymond Road will also connect the new Treendale Road and Tern place later in the year.

Users of the Raymond Road bridge will come across the unique abutment design inspired by the shell of the endangered South West Long Necked Turtle. The design was developed in consultation with both the project’s Aboriginal Heritage Advisory Group and the Urban Design and Landscaping Focus group.

The art incorporates a colour palette evoking the tones of the Collie River and surrounding environment that runs nearby with earthy, clay colours. The screen and noise walls surrounding this stretch of road will match the same pattern and colour.
