Bridge replacements and road upgrades are planned to increase the safety and efficiency of Northam Pithara Road, north of Northam.

Northam Pithara Road <em>Upgrades</em>

What's happening

Main Roads is upgrading Northam Pithara Road approximately five kilometres north of Northam. The project includes the replacement of two bridges and realignment of a section of road between Great Eastern Highway and Southern Brook Road.

The upgrades will improve road safety and freight efficiency on the Northam Pithara Road, a key route for freight, local, regional and tourist traffic.

The project includes a new rail level crossing with boom gates and signals.

Construction will be staged to minimise disruption to road users.
