What's happening

Early works are underway

Preliminary works have started across the project area, which are an important step in helping inform the design. During these works, intermittent verge closures and stop/slow arrangements will be required on various roads within the project area. These short-term impacts will be implemented during off-peak times (generally, 9:30am to 3pm, Monday to Friday) and will help increase safety for our workforce and the community.

What’s included?

  • Geotechnical investigations – testing ground conditions.
  • Potholing for service locating – identifying underground utilities.
  • Environmental investigations - surveys.

What to expect?

You may see some of our work crews and vehicles accessing the road reserve at various locations along the alignment, Monday to Friday.

Short-term traffic management arrangements will be implemented as required to help increase safety for our workforce and the community.

Night works – Thomas Road

To support our early investigations, night works are scheduled on Thursday 3 July and Friday 4 July, between 7pm and 5am.

These works require rolling lane closures and are scheduled out of hours to minimise disruption and increase safety.

The short-term impacts are in the following locations:

  • Thomas Road, westbound lane between Kargotich Road and Tonkin Highway
  • Thomas Road, eastbound lane between Masters Road and Wugong South Road

Please see map below.

Please note dates are subject to change.

Speed limit reduction

To safely build access to our future site office, the speed limit will be reduced to 60 km/h on Mundijong Road between Kargotich Road and Adonis Street from 16 June 2025.
