Safety and efficiency has been improved with construction of a new dual-lane roundabout at the intersection of Morley Drive and Bath Road. Completed in late 2025, this new roundabout is predicted to reduce the number of crashes by 83.5 per cent at this busy junction.
To support the new road layout, a number of local roads adjacent to the intersection have also been modified for safety and efficiency:
- Fitzgerald Road has been transformed into a cul-de-sac at Bath Road.
- Woking Street has been modified to enable left-in, left-out access only at Bath Road.
- A new access road (as an extension to Clandon Way) has been constructed and now provides safer access for three properties on the northern side the new roundabout.
In addition, shared paths, drainage, street lighting and powerlines have also been upgraded.
Main Roads has provided funding for the final irrigation and landscaping works to be completed by the City of Bayswater, following the completion of civil work.
