What's happening

Traffic flow is being significantly improved with construction of a new direct left-turn lane from Mitchell Freeway northbound to Neerabup Road westbound.

Motorists using the existing off-ramp from Mitchell Freeway currently experience lengthy delays in the afternoon peak period, due to the requirement to give-way to Neerabup Road traffic.

Construction is being undertaken as a mix of day and night works and, for most of the project, the off-ramp will be reduced to one lane, with speed reductions and traffic management in place.

Occasional after hours closures of the off-ramp and Neerabup Road’s westbound lanes should be expected between 8pm and 6am, subject to weather conditions. Road users should plan ahead, allow extra time for their journey and follow the signed detours.

Minor closures and detours of the Principal Shared Path are also in place to allow work to be undertaken safely within the existing road reserve. View the PSP detour map here.
