What’s happening

We are undertaking a series of projects along Leach Highway, between Webb Street and Vahland Avenue, to improve safety and traffic flow.

In 2025, roadworks were completed at the Leach Highway and Corinthian Road East intersection, to limit vehicle movements to right-in and left-in/left-out only. To finish this project, some minor footpath and balustrade works should be expected in early 2026.

We are now progressing further design work, and planning for underground service relocations, in preparation for modifications to Leach Highway’s intersections with Fifth Avenue and Beatrice Avenue.

This additional work is expected to start in late 2026. Vehicle movements at Fifth Avenue will be limited to right-in and left-in/left-out only, while new turning lanes and traffic signals are planned for the Beatrice Avenue intersection.
