What's Happening

Maintenance works were completed on the southbound Garratt Road bridge in September 2025, ensuring its longevity as part of the local road network.

Built in 1935, this timber bridge spans the river and is a critical link between Bayswater and Ascot.

Scope

The work undertaken included:

  • refurbishing the substructure and deck;
  • abutment and concrete deck repairs; and
  • upgrading the balustrades.
