Eric Street Bridge Refurbishment

What's Happening

We have completed essential repairs and are now finalising plans for further refurbishment works to extend the life of the Eric Street Bridge over the Perth-Fremantle rail line, in Cottesloe.

This timber bridge is over 112 years old and needs additional refurbishing to ensure that it can continue to operate well into the future.

This $10 million project is equally funded by the Australian Government’s Bridges Renewal Program and the State Government.

Work will be staggered until at least 2026 and where possible, construction will primarily be undertaken after hours to avoid interference with the Public Transport Authority’s rail operations.
