New signals to improve safety for road users and pedestrians

What's Happening

We’re improving safety by installing new traffic signals at the busy intersection of Armadale Road and Eighth Road. Service relocations will get underway from mid-2026 and includes work by Western Power, Telstra, ATCO Gas and telecommunications providers.

Due to the busy nature of this intersection, the majority of work required to complete this upgrade will be undertaken after hours.

Every effort will be made to minimise disruption to nearby residents. Road users should expect lane closures, speed reductions and traffic management. The intersection upgrade has been designed to tie into the City of Armadale’s future plans for a dual carriageway on Eighth Road, between Forrest Road and Armadale Road
