What's happening
We’re upgrading two sections of the Mitchell Freeway Principal Shared Path (PSP), between Leederville and Northbridge.
Construction is due to start in March 2026, with completion expected in mid-2026.
During works, the sections of the PSP being upgraded will be closed and detours will be in place. View the detour map for the Stage 1 closure between Richmond Street and Vincent Street below.
With more people using the detour routes on bikes, e‑bikes, e‑scooters and on foot, please look out for each other and keep our shared paths friendly and safe.
Road users and residents along the detour routes are also asked to take extra care, as there will be additional cyclists and pedestrians on the roads and paths during this time.
