What's happening
Traffic flow is being significantly improved with construction of a new direct left-turn lane from Mitchell Freeway northbound to Neerabup Road westbound.
Motorists using the existing off-ramp from Mitchell Freeway currently experience lengthy delays in the afternoon peak period, due to the requirement to give-way to Neerabup Road traffic.
Work is due to start in April and be finished by mid-2026. Construction is likely to be undertaken as a mix of day and night works, with off-ramp closures to be advertised in advance.
The off ramp will be reduced to one lane for the majority of the project, with speed reductions and traffic management in place. There will also be minor closures and detours of the Principal Shared Path, to allow work to be undertaken safely within the existing road reserve.
