What's planned

A planning study is being undertaken for Indian Ocean Drive between Breakwater Drive, Yanchep and Seaview Drive, Lancelin.

The study aims to identify what the long term requirements are for Indian Ocean Drive, including intersection treatments and the expected requirement for a dual carriageway. This is a comprehensive investigation that will inform and guide the future role of Indian Ocean Drive within the regional transport network and surrounding community.

It's important to understand that this is a planning study only, and no funding is currently available for any construction work or land acquisition.

The study complements the recently completed safety upgrades and will assess future demand for the road, including potential land development, access requirements and traffic volumes.
