HVS Update 4-2026

Great Southern Region - Shire of Plantagenet - Downgrading RAV Access on Carbarup Road

Main Roads Heavy Vehicle Services (HVS) advises that Restricted Access Vehicle (RAV) access on a section of Carbarup Road will be downgraded, following safety concerns for 36.5m Restricted Access Vehicles (RAVs) operating on the road, identified in a recent Road Safety Audit commissioned by the Shire of Plantagenet.

As a result, the following 36.5m RAV Networks will be removed from the section of Carbarup Road, between Beverley Road and where the RAV Network currently stops at the farm access gate 50m west of Moorilup Road.

  • Tandem Drive Networks 5 to 7
  • AMMS Tandem Drive Networks 5.1 to 7.1

This change will take effect from Wednesday 25 February 2026 and will be reflected in the relevant Road Tables and on the RAV Mapping Tool on our website from that date.

For further information about the outcomes of the Road Safety Audit and upcoming road upgrades on this section of Carbarup Road, please contact the Shire of Plantagenet directly on 9892 1111 or email info@sop.wa.gov.au .
