HVS Update 27-2025

Wheatbelt Region - Shire of Lake Grave - RAV Turning Restriction on Mordetta Road

Please be advised that safety assessments carried out by Main Roads Rail Safety Branch has identified inadequate stacking distance and resulting safety concerns for Restricted Access Vehicles (RAVs) travelling over the level crossing  on Mordetta Road, adjacent to North Lake Grace - Karlgarin Road, Kuender, within the Shire of Lake Grace.

As a result, the following turning restriction will be applied to the relevant RAV Networks:

Mordetta Road and North Lake Grace - Karlgarin Road Intersection

"No access permitted to or from North Lake Grace - Karlgarin Road on the western side of the intersection."

  • Tandem Drive Networks 2 to 7
  • AMMS Tandem Drive Networks 2.2 to 7.2
  • Tri Drive Networks 1 to 4
  • AMMS Tri Drive Networks 1.1 to 4.1 and 1.2
  • PBS Tandem Drive Networks 1B.1 to 2B.1
  • PBS Tandem Drive Networks 1B.2 to 2B.2
  • PBS Tri Drive Network 2B.1
  • 27.5m Oversize B-Double Network

Alternative access for the above RAV Networks is available via other local roads and operators need to refer to the RAV Mapping Tool accordingly.

Main Roads will implement the above changes on Wednesday 29 October 2025, which will be reflected in the relevant Road Tables and RAV Mapping Tool on our website from that date.
