Block Truck

Information regarding the Block Truck permit including associated costs and application form.

The Block Truck Overmass period permit allows State-wide access, subject to bridge and Local Government restrictions, for a Block Truck up to 18.5 tonnes on a tandem axle and up to 24.0 tonnes on a tri axle fitted with dual tyres, to:

  • assist in the transport of large indivisible loads,
  • enable travel to and from site, or
  • travel to a place for maintenance or repairs

Tandem Drive Cost: $25 permit fee plus Mass Component Fee of $96 for 12 months, or $50 Permit Fee plus Mass Component Fee of $288 for 36 months

Tri Drive Cost: $25 Permit Fee plus Mass Component Fee of $192 for 12 months, or $50 Permit Fee plus Mass Component Fee of $576 for 36 months

 Block trucks which are used for transporting "dog" trailers are covered by the Class 2 and 3 Truck Trailer Combinations Order or the relevant concessional loading permit.
