Brand Highway SLK 188 Passing Lane Extension

Phase:Assessment Report finalised to address submissions

Number of submissions 1

Main Roads Western Australia proposes to extend an existing southbound passing lane on Brand Highway (SLK 187–189), where the current lane length is insufficient to safely accommodate overtaking on a steep gradient. The proposal includes the clearing of up to 0.83 hectares (ha) of native vegetation to facilitate construction of the extended lane. The extension will improve overtaking opportunities, enhancing road user safety and freight efficiency along this section of Brand Highway.  Brand Highway SLK 188 Passing Lane Extension photo
