A governance structure has been implemented to oversee, guide and deliver initiatives, actions and outcomes for improving our Aboriginal participation in procurement and employment.

The governance structure includes the Transport Portfolio Aboriginal Business and Employment Advisory Group (TPABEAG) which informs and supports Aboriginal business participation initiatives. 

The TPABEAG was established to guide and support initiatives that increase Aboriginal participation within our sector.  This is underpinned by a robust internal governance structure to ensure that recommendations are evaluated and delivered. 

This enables local Aboriginal businesses and community members to be involved in the decision making to determine appropriate project objectives, targets and engagement approaches, and ensures strong outcomes are achieved for local Aboriginal businesses and people. 

The group includes well-respected Aboriginal business representatives from across the State who are advocates for positive change for Aboriginal Peoples.
