HVS Update 48-2023
Change to Oversize Road Train and B-Double Period Permit Operating Conditions
Main Roads Heavy Vehicle Services is pleased to advise of the following amendments within the Oversize Road Train and B-Double Period Permit Operating Conditions:
- Clause 4.3 updated to remove the minimum mass requirement on tandem axle groups when the load height exceeds 4.3 metres, and a reminder note included that rollover risk must be managed and records must be kept in accordance with the Western Australian Heavy Vehicle Accreditation - Dimension & Loading Management Module Standards.
- A link directly to the Static Rollover Threshold Calculator, available on the Main Roads website, has also been included.
- Section 5 updated to clarify the dimension requirements that apply to a vehicle combination carrying one (1) oversize hut on each trailer.
Operators are reminded to familiarise themselves with all the requirements of the revised Operating Conditions, available on the Oversize Road Trains and B Doubles page on our website.
