HVS Update 36-2024

Wheatbelt Region - Shire of Lake Grace - Notice of RAV Network Change - Buniche North Road

Please be advised that a safety assessment carried out by Main Roads Rail Safety Branch has identified safety concerns relating to Restricted Access Vehicles (RAVs) travelling over the level crossing on Buniche North Road adjacent to the Biddy-Camm Road intersection, due to inadequate stacking distance, within the Shire of Lake Grace. As a result, the decision has been made to implement the following restriction to the relevant RAV Networks:

Intersection Restriction

"No access permitted to or from Buniche North Road, via Biddy-Camm Road".

  • Tandem Drive Networks 2 to 7
  • Tandem Drive Concessional Networks N2.1 to 7.2
  • Tri Drive Networks 2 to 4
  • Tri Drive Concessional Networks 2.1 to 4.1
  • Tandem Drive Performance Based Standards Networks PBS2B.1 to PBS2B.2
  • Tri Drive Performance Based Standards Network PBSTD2B.1

Alternative access for these RAV Networks is via Geliard Road and Burngup South Road.

Main Roads will implement the above change on Wednesday 6 November 2024, which will be reflected in the relevant Road Tables and RAV Mapping Tool on our website from that date.
