Various Updated Operating Conditions

Main Roads Heavy Vehicle Services (HVS) advises the following Operating Conditions have been updated:

  • Accredited Containerised Freight Period Permit Operating Conditions.
  • Accredited Mass Management Scheme (AMMS) - Prime Mover, Trailer Combinations Operating Conditions.
  • Accredited Mass Management Scheme (AMMS) - Tri Drive Prime Mover, Trailer Combinations Operating Conditions.
  • Accredited Mass Management Scheme (AMMS) - Tri Drive Truck, Trailer Combinations Operating Conditions.
  • Accredited Mass Management Scheme (AMMS) - Truck, Trailer Combinations Operating Conditions.
  • Containerised Cargo (import/export) Period Permit Operating Conditions.
  • Oversize Divisible Products - Prime Mover, Trailer Combinations Period Permit Operating Conditions.
  • Oversize Divisible Products - Truck, Trailer Combinations Period Permit Operating Conditions.
  • Oversize Road Train and B Double Period Permit Operating Conditions.
  • Performance Based Standards (PBS) Vehicle - Standard Operating Conditions.
  • Prime Mover Combinations Operating Conditions.
  • Road Train with Long Trailers Period Permit Operating Conditions.
  • Short Triple Road Train Period Permit Operating Conditions.
  • Tri Drive Prime Mover, Trailer Combinations Operating Conditions.
  • Tri Drive Truck, Trailer Combinations Operating Conditions.
  • Truck Combinations Operating Conditions.

These Operating Conditions have received the following amendments:

  1. Amendments to the warning sign requirements to clarify recent queries from industry and sign makers.
  2. Inclusion / amendments to the standard speed, minimum following distance, poor visibility and overtaking conditions, to ensure consistency across the permit products.
