HVS Update 19-2024

Wheatbelt Region - Shire of Narrogin - Notice of Removal - Section of Forrest Street from the RAV Networks.

Please be advised that a safety assessment carried out by Main Roads Rail Safety Branch has identified inadequate stacking distance for the current Restricted Access Vehicle (RAV) Networks at the rail crossing on Forrest Street, adjacent to the Northam Cranbrook Road intersection in Narrogin.

As a result, the decision has been made to remove the section of Forrest Street, between Francis Street and Northam Cranbrook Road, from the following RAV Networks:

  • Tandem Drive Networks 2-4
  • Tandem Drive Concessional Networks N2.1-N4.1
  • Tri Drive Network 2
  • Tri Drive Concessional Network TD2.1
  • 27.5 m Oversize B-Double Network
Main Roads Heavy Vehicle Services (HVS) is currently working with the Shire of Narrogin to investigate alternative RAV access options for local businesses affected by this issue.

HVS will implement the above change on Wednesday 19 June 2024, which will be reflected in the relevant Road Tables and RAV Mapping Tool on our website from that date.

For further information, please contact the Heavy Vehicle Services Helpdesk on 138 486 or email hvs@mainroads.wa.gov.au.
