Please be advised that the Shire of Yilgarn recently identified safety concerns for Restricted Access Vehicles (RAVs) turning at the intersection of Polaris Street and Great Eastern Highway in Southern Cross, including significant damage to the footpath and kerbing.

As a result, Main Roads is downgrading the current RAV network access on Polaris Street by removing Tandem Drive Networks 5-7.

Alternative access for the above 36.5 metre RAV Networks is via Koolyanobbing-Southern Cross Road, Threeboys Road, Sth Cross CBH Wheat Bin Road, Bullfinch Road and Cameron Road.

Main Roads will implement the above RAV network changes on Wednesday 6 December 2023, which will be reflected in the relevant Road Tables and RAV Mapping Tool on our website from that date.
