3355 – South Western Highway (H009) – Placid Ark Roadhouse Improvements 2024

Main Roads Western Australia South West Region proposes to conduct maintenance works at the Placid Ark Roadhouse on South Western Highway (H009) in Coolup. The proposed maintenance works are required to address safety concerns for vehicles existing the roadhouse onto South Western Highway. The maintenance works will facilitate improved sight lines for vehicles exiting the roadhouse for traffic heading along South Western Highway. The maintenance works requires the removal of up to 0.004 ha of native vegetation directly adjacent to South Western Highway. Specifically the removal of three remnant Marri (Corymbia calophylla) trees in a completely degraded condition.
