Inspiring the next generation

Recently, our female engineers dedicated their time to support Curtin University’s Girls Engineering Tomorrow program.

We are proud to be the main sponsor of Curtin University’s Girls Engineering Tomorrow program. Targeted at Year 11 students, the intensive out-of-school course offers exposure to engineering activities, mentoring, and tutoring whilst instilling the confidence to move forward into a career in STEM.

To help inspire students, many of our female engineers have volunteered their time to participate in networking sessions, sharing their personal story and connect with the girls.

We recently hosted groups of students at our operations centre and construction projects sites, providing firsthand insights about careers at Main Roads. The staff had the opportunity to share their career insights, discussing why they love their fields and provided advice to support the next generation of women in engineering.

With a strong focus in diversity, going places at Main Roads has never been more rewarding.
