Armadale Road to North Lake Road Bridge

A new bridge over Kwinana Freeway will ease congestion and improve access. Construction began in late 2019 with completion expected in late 2021.

A new pedestrian bridge will completely separate path users from traffic, due for construction in early 2022. Planning and development is underway.

We are adding new interchanges at Roe Highway and Abernethy Road in Hazelmere. Planning and development is now underway.

We’re upgrading two intersections along Great Eastern Highway to improve safety and visibility. Construction will begin in early-2021 and finish by early 2022.

Work is planned to construct a roundabout at Apple Street and Coondaree Parade intersection. Construction is scheduled to start in early 2021.

We are increasing the clearance of the bridge over Mitchell Freeway to minimise the risk of oversized vehicles hitting the bridge. Work has begun and is expected to finish in October 2020.

We are upgrading High Street in Fremantle to improve safety, freight efficiency and traffic flow. Construction is now underway.

Karel Avenue Upgrade

We are upgrading the Roe Highway and Karel Avenue interchange to reduce congestion and improve access to the local area. Construction began in July 2019 and will finish by August 2021.

We are building a new grade separated interchange to improve safety and efficiency. Planning is underway and construction is expected to start in 2021.

Matagarup Bridge

A zip-line and adventure climb is being constructed on Matagarup Bridge, due to open this summer.

We’re planning to extend Mitchell Freeway to help you get around the northern suburbs faster and safer. Works will begin in late 2020 and align with the Yanchep Rail Extension project.

We are building a new bridge on Thomas Road in Byford over the rail, to accommodate for METRONET's Byford Rail Extension.

We are replacing a busy signalised intersection with a free-flowing interchange to improve safety and reduce travel times. Construction began in September 2018 and will finish in late 2020.

We’re constructing a bridge over Ocean Reef Road to alleviate congestion and improve safety at one of Perth’s busiest intersections. Construction has started and is due to finish in late 2020.

Replace the aging timber Congdon Street Bridge over Swanbourne Station. Development works are underway, however construction funding is not available.

EastLink WA

EastLink WA

EastLink WA will transform Perth’s transport network with significant upgrades to Reid and Roe highways and a new route to Northam. The project is currently in planning and development stages.

Consultation on the Orrong Road future concept is complete. The plan will improve travel times for traffic travelling through the area and enhance connectivity for the local community.

We worked in partnership to deliver a new dual carriageway road to connect Reid Highway and Gnangara Road. This removed a major bottleneck in the road network and opened to traffic in April 2019.

We replaced Hamilton Street Bridge over the rail in Subiaco to improve traffic flow and safety. The bridge opened to traffic on 29 August 2019.

Kwinana Freeway Northbound Widening

Kwinana Freeway Northbound Widening

Widened the freeway from Russell Road to Roe Highway to reduce travel times and ease congestion. Construction began in 2018 and completed in mid-2020.

Kwinana Freeway Southbound

We built a southbound on-ramp to provide direct access to the freeway and reduce congestion. The new ramp opened on 13 July 2020.

Mitchell Freeway Southbound Widening

Widening a 7 kilometre section of the freeway to create an additional lane and complete the missing shared path link from Glendalough Station to Hutton Street.

Murdoch Drive Connection

Murdoch Drive Connection

We extended Murdoch Drive south to connect with Roe Highway and Kwinana Freeway. This connection opened in April 2020 and improves access and journey times to Fiona Stanley Hospital.

NorthLink WA

NorthLink WA provides a vital, state of the art transport link between Morley and Muchea. It reduces travel times and congestion and provides significant productivity benefits to the economy, industry, motorists and local communities.

We modified and upgraded this busy interchange near Perth Airport to reduce queuing on Tonkin Highway exits during peak periods.
