What's Happening
To support the construction of Perdaman Industries’ urea plant in the Burrup Strategic Industrial Area, Main Roads worked with the Department of Jobs, Science, Tourism and Innovation (JTSI) to:
- Relocate Hearson Cove Road to the northeast
- Construct a new intersection on Hearson Cove Road, including acceleration lanes to the north and south
- Constructi dedicated left and right turn pockets
- Install new flag lighting
- Construct a new intersection on Burrup Peninsula Road, including a dedicated right turn pocket.
- Replace and upgrade culverts
The work, undertaken by Raubex Construction Australia provides improved access and safety to Hearson Cove, which is a popular tourist destination.
