What's Happening
A construction contract was awarded to Raubex Construction Australia in May 2023.
The project is nearing completion with all pavement construction, asphalting and sealing works complete.
Remaining on road activities, which are expected to be completed by the end of August include:
- Pavement marking and installation of safety barriers
- Installation of signage and guideposts
- Installation of flag lighting at Burrup Peninsula Road and Hearson Cove Road intersection
Other work which will be undertaken through to early October includes:
- Realignment of the above-ground steel watermain that runs parallel to Burrup Peninsula Road
- Replacement of a large box culvert immediately south of the Burrup Peninsula Road and King Bay Road intersection
Burrup Peninsula Road Lane Closure
A single lane closure, speed reduction and traffic management with portable traffic signals will remain in place on Burrup Peninsula Road until mid-October 2024, while the remaining work is completed.
