HVS Update 20-2024
Reminder - Heavy Lift Tow Truck Moratorium ending 31 July 2024.
Main Roads Heavy Vehicle Services (HVS) reminds Heavy Lift Tow Truck (HLTT) operators that the moratorium relating to the HLTT loading control requirements, as detailed in HVS Update 14-2024, will be ending on 31 July 2024.
If the HLTT operator does not meet the loading control requirements by 31 July 2024, their relevant HLTT permit(s) may be cancelled and they will be removed from the Compliant Heavy Lift Tow Truck Operators list.
To avoid permits being cancelled, HLTT operators must either:
1) Submit their loading plan to hvsnetworkaccess@mainroads.wa.gov.au for approval; or
2) Provide evidence to hvsnetworkaccess@mainroads.wa.gov.au that the HLTT has been installed with an approved On-Board Mass Management (OBM) system.
For further information, please visit the Heavy Lift Tow Trucks page on our website, or contact the Heavy Vehicle Services Helpdesk on 138 486 or email hvsnetworkaccess@mainroads.wa.gov.au.
