HVS Update 45-2023

Advanced warning flashing lights for the Bodallin Railway Crossing have been removed to facilitate roadworks.

Main Roads Heavy Vehicle Services (HVS) would like to advise the Transport Industry that the advanced warning flashing lights for the Bodallin Railway Crossing have been removed to facilitate roadworks. The boom gate and flashing lights remain operational at the railway crossing. Drivers are urged to exercise extra caution when approaching the Bodallin railway crossing.

There is a reduced speed limit, 60 km/hr, in place for 15 kilometres of Great Eastern Highway. Upgrades include road widening, a new two-kilometre eastbound passing lane between Bodallin and Moorine Rock and construction of a new westbound rest area between Bodallin and Moorine Rock.

Works are on track to be completed by March 2024.

For further information about these works, please visit the Great Eastern Highway Upgrades project page on the Main Roads website: https://www.mainroads.wa.gov.au/projects-initiatives/all-projects/regional/geh-upgrades/
