HVS Update 42-2024
South West Region - Shire of Manjimup - Notice of Removal - Hind Road and West Boundary Road from the RAV Networks
Please be advised that due to safety concerns reported by the public, relating to Restricted Access Vehicle (RAV) Network vehicles using the intersections of Hind Road & West Boundary Road with Graphite Road within the Shire of Manjimup, Main Roads Heavy Vehicle Services has conducted necessary safety assessments.
The assessments verified the safety concerns, including the following:
- Non-compliant sight distances at both the intersections of Hind Road & West Boundary Road with Graphite Road.
- Non-compliant swept paths at both the intersections of Hind Road & West Boundary Road with Graphite Road.
As a result, Main Roads is removing the following RAV Network access from Hind Road, between Graphite Road & Ipsen Road and West Boundary Road, between Graphite Road & the Private Access Driveway, approximately 200m north of Ipsen Road.
- Tandem Drive Networks N2 to N3
- Tandem Drive AMMS Networks N2.1 to N3.1, N2.2 to N3.2 & N2.3 to N3.3
- Tri Drive Network TD1
- Tri Drive AMMS Networks TD1.1, TD1.2 & TD1.3
- Performance Based Scheme Tandem Drive Networks PBS1B.1, PBS1B.2 & PBS1B.3
Alternative access to West Boundary Road & Ipsen Road for the above RAV Networks continues to be available via Springall Road and South Western Highway.
Main Roads will implement the above changes on Wednesday 4 December 2024, which will be reflected in the relevant Road Tables and RAV Mapping Tool on our website from that date.
