Can you go the distance?

Hit the pavement and challenge your mind and body on the Yaarkin Challenge.

Published: 26 October 2021, Updated: 31 December 2021

The Yaarkin Challenge is a 37 kilometre stretch of path that runs between Lightning Swamp and Muchea.

Inspired by The Yaarkin, you will find Aboriginal and European history and key environmental information along the route at 13 different locations. There is also bike pump facilities, water fountain and rest shelters.

Take the time to stop at each of the signs to learn about the history and culture.

Thanks to the Noongar Reference Group, Mr Nathan Corunna (Aboriginal artist), Sista Girl Sign & Print (sign printers), Marawar Building Services (installed the signs and amenities), and many others who helped us complete this historic trail.
