Reid all about it

Reid Highway transformation features amazing Aboriginal artwork!

Published: 10 Sep 2020, Updated: 14 Sep 2020

Drivers are getting home sooner and safer with construction now complete on the Reid Highway Dual Carriageway project, which has seen the last single carriageway between Altone Road and West Swan Road widened.

A new bridge over Reid Highway at Arthur Street connects the growing communities of Caversham and Dayton, providing alternative access for buses to cross Reid Highway and residents accessing the new primary school in South Caversham.

A new shared path has also been built along Reid Highway, providing a more efficient route for pedestrians and cyclists.

Amazing Aboriginal artwork is incorporated in the project design to ensure stories of the local Whadjuk Noongar people are celebrated and shared for generations to come. The artwork reveals the meaning and significance of heritage places in a memorable and enriching way.
