Kids' Bridge is taking shape

Construction is moving fast with all bridge segments now lifted into place.

Published: 20 April 2021, Updated: 20 April 2021

All 11 segments have been lifted into place for the three-metre wide and 217-metre long Kids' Bridge.

The next steps will be to weld the segments together, pour the concrete walkway and paint the inside of the bridge in its iconic bright colours.

LED feature lighting will also be installed on the outside of the bridge, along with a sensor speaker system with the ability to play acoustics.

When complete, the bridge will provide safe and enjoyable access to Kings Park for patients, families, visitors and staff.

This project has been made possible with a $6.3 million contribution from the Perth Children's Hospital Foundation.
