Free Twilight Community Event to celebrate the opening of Boorloo Bridge
Lights, music, action as Perth’s newest pedestrian and cycling bridge opens to the public with a free twilight community event to celebrate.

The Boorloo Bridge, connecting Victoria Park with Heirisson Island and Point Fraser in the Perth CBD, will open to the public on Sunday, 22 December with a free twilight community event being held from 5pm on McCallum Park next to the bridge.
The family-friendly event will include a wide range of activities for all ages, including live music, entertainers, market stalls, face painting, a petting zoo, and kids’ Christmas activities.
A range of food trucks and a free sausage sizzle will also be on offer with special guest Santa and his elves dropping by to see the new bridge.As the sun goes down, find a nice spot on the foreshore to sit back, relax and watch the fireworks and bridge lighting display.
Over 17,000 LED lights will transform the bridge into a digital canvas with colours, imagery and messages which will illuminate this new landmark in a way never seen before in Perth.
