Upgrades in the South West officially kick off

Construction is officially underway on Stage One of the much anticipated Bussell Highway widening.

Published: 16 Oct 2020, Updated: 16 Oct 2020

Congestion along Bussell Highway between Capel and north of Busselton, is set to improve as works to widen this section of the highway commenced this week.

A ground breaking event took place on Friday 16 October for the first stage of the Bussell Highway Duplication project, jointly funded by the Australian and State Governments.

A 17-kilometre section of Bussell Highway will be duplicated to increase capacity and safety, while also reducing travel times and driver frustration. The project will be undertaken in two stages, with Raubex Construction Pty Ltd constructing Stage One.
