Get active for Bike Month

Celebrate Bike Month by getting a group of friends together for a ride.

Published: 01 Sep 2020, Updated: 30 Sep 2020

WA Bike Month is back, and we encourage people of all ages and abilities to give bike riding a go!

Riding a bike is a great activity to improve your health and well-being. Research shows that students who ride to school have improved concentration, learning outcomes and cognitive abilities. It's also a fun activity that benefits the wider community by reducing traffic and pollution.

Celebrate Bike Month by getting a group of friends together for a ride, or riding with your kids to school.

Visit our Paths & Cycling page to see current path closures, detours, upgrades and subscribe for updates.

If you haven’t been on your bike for a while, give it a quick maintenance check. Learn how with the Department of Transport's ABC Bike Check video.

Visit the WestCycle website to see how you can be involved in WA Bike Month.
