Welshpool Road Bridge

We are working to install safety barriers on Welshpool Road East between the Roe Highway off-ramp and Hale Road, including the bridge over rail, to improve safety for road users in Wattle Grove. The shared path section on the bridge will also be upgraded.

At the same time, on behalf of the City of Kalamunda, Main Roads will be upgrading the sub-standard existing shared path, west and east of the bridge over rail on Welshpool Road East and undertaking road widening works on Puddy Lane to link the new shared path to Hale Road.

Road users are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journey with lane closures and speed reductions in place until completion of the project.

The shared path at this location is permanently closed during works, due to high traffic volumes. Pedestrians will be detoured to safely cross the rail line at Brixton Bridge.

Works are expected to be completed in June 2020.
