Albany Highway Bridge Replacement, Kenwick

We are replacing the ageing concrete bridge over Bickley Brook on Albany Highway in Kenwick with new box culverts.

Latest news

Work started work on 7 March and will take up to 12 weeks to complete.

During construction, traffic is restricted to one-lane, one-way through the construction site and detours are in place via Kenwick Link and Royal Street. Northbound traffic is currently being redirected for the first five to six weeks, and southbound is reduced to a single lane with speed reduced to 40 km/h. From 7pm Tuesday 24 April, northbound will reopen and southbound will close.

This allows demolition and reconstruction of the bridge to be managed in two stages.

Access is being maintained to all businesses along Albany Highway during this time.
