Local Government Information

Main Roads Heavy Vehicle Services (HVS) distributes a Local Government Update to all Local Governments in Western Australia in order to maintain a strong relationship and assist Local Governments in keeping up to date with current issues and changes relating to heavy vehicle access.

Local Government Updates: 

The Local Government Updates are distributed via email to contacts provided by the WA Local Government Association. If you are not receiving these updates and wish to in the future, please send your email contact details to hvsrouteassessments@mainroads.wa.gov.au .


HVS Information Sessions for Local Governments:

In June 2016 Heavy Vehicle Services commenced  delivering a program of  information sessions, specifically designed to provide Local Governments with an understanding of their role and responsibilities associated with assessing applications for RAV access on the WA road network.
