Broome - Cape Leveque Road Compliance Report

 

Dampier Highway EPBC 2010-5419 Annual Compliance Report 2018

 The Dampier Highway Duplication project was referred by Main Roads to the Commonwealth Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities (SEWPaC, now the Department of Environment and Energy - DotEE) under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) in 2010, as the Project impacted listed threatened species and communities as well as part of the project area occurring within a National Heritage Place. SEWPaC confirmed that the Project was a controlled action under the Act.  Approval under the EPBC Act was obtained in July 2011 with conditions (EPBC 2010/5419).  Condition 3 of EPBC 2010/5419 requires the publication of an annual compliance report on Main Roads’ website, addressing compliance with each of the conditions of EPBC 2010/5419.

 

Gateway DoEE Annual Compliance Report 2018-2019

The Gateway WA project was referred by Main Roads to the Commonwealth Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities (SEWPaC, now the Department of Environment and Energy - DotEE) under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) in March 2010, as the Project impacts listed threatened species and communities as well as part of the Project taking place on Commonwealth land. SEWPaC confirmed that the Project was a controlled action under the Act. Approval under the EPBC Act was obtained in February 2013 with conditions (EPBC 2010/5384).

Condition 14 of EPBC 2010/5384 requires the publication of an annual compliance report on Main Roads’ website, addressing compliance with each of the conditions of EPBC 2013/7091 over the previous 12 months. This report addresses compliance for the period July 2018 – June 2019.

Great Northern Highway Muchea to Wubin Upgrade Stage 2 - Muchea North (EPBC Construction Environmental Management Plan

The approved CEMP referred to in Condition 8 of EPBC 2016/7656 must be published on the Main Roads’ website within one month of being approved and must remain on the website for the period approval EPBC 2016/7656 has effect (31 December 2070).

Great Northern Highway Muchea to Wubin Upgrade Stage 2 - Walebing to Wubin (EPBC Construction Environmental Management Plan

The approved CEMP referred to in Condition 4 of EPBC 2016/7761 must be published on the Main Roads’ website within one month of being approved and must remain on the website for the period approval EPBC 2016/7761 has effect (31 December 2038).

Mitchell Freeway Extension Burns Beach Road to Hester Avenue - Black Cockatoo Avoidance and Mitigation Plan (BCAMP) Condition 10 of EPBC 2013/7091

The approved BCAMP referred to in Condition 2 of EPBC 2013/7091 must be published on the Main Roads’ website within one month of being approved and must remain on the website for the period approval EPBC 2013/7091 has effect (31 October 2024).

 

Mitchell Freeway Extension Annual Compliance Report (Condition 7 of EPBC 2013/7091)

The Mitchell Freeway Extension (Burns Beach Road to Hester Avenue) was referred to the Department of the Environment and Energy (DotEE) for assessment under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 as the Project was deemed to potentially impact significantly on the listed threatened species, Carnaby’s Black Cockatoo (Calyptorhynchus latirostris). The Project was determined by the DotEE to be a ‘Controlled Action’ and was assessed through Preliminary Documentation. The DotEE issued approval of the Project on 2 September 2014 (EPBC 2013/7091) and included a number of conditions that Main Roads Western Australia (Main Roads) is required to fulfil.

Condition 7 of EPBC 2013/7091 requires the publication of an annual compliance report on Main Roads’ website, addressing compliance with each of the conditions of EPBC 2013/7091 over the previous 12 months. This report addresses compliance for the period 27 May 2017 – 27 May 2018.
