4 DRAWINGS REQUIRED FOR A ROADWORKS CONTRACT

It is the Designer's responsibility to produce a suitable set of contract drawings for construction. Each project has different requirements depending on the method of delivery, exact scope of works etc.

Below is a list of drawing types that may be required. Also attached is a sample set for each drawing type.

It may be desirable on certain contracts, depending upon the amount of information and detail required on each drawing, for a number of drawings to be combined to form one common drawing. For example the accommodation works, drainage and services plans may be combined to form one drawing.

The Project Brief or SWTC (Scope of Works and Technical Criteria) will list the drawings required for each particular project. These drawings should be produced as a minimum and other project specific drawings should be produced as required.
