Traffic Management at Roadworks on State Roads, Policy and Application Guidelines

Main Roads has taken the lead in ensuring that major works on its roads are managed such that traffic management is conducted in a consistent and safe manner while ensuring efficient traffic flow.

This policy applies to long term projects on high volume state roads.

It applies to projects exceeding:

  1. 4 weeks on the Freeways and Tonkin, Reid and Roe Hwys, and
  2. 6 weeks on other high volume Highways and Main Roads.
