To meet the changes and demands of key developments along the Burswood Peninsula, we are undertaking improvements along three intersections on Great Eastern Highway between Causeway and Victoria Park Drive / Burswood Road.Downer Group in undertaking a package of works to modify the intersections on Great Eastern Highway at:

Upgrades are also underway on the Causeway to Great Eastern Highway slip lane.These modifications will complement Perth Stadium’s integrated transport solutions which include expanded rail and bus infrastructure and construction of the Swan River Pedestrian Bridge. The changes will also improve access to development at Crown Towers. Each change has been designed to improve efficiency and move patrons safely on the Burswood Peninsula.
From 9 January 2017, Craig Street will be closed between Burswood Road and Great Eastern Highway for approximately 10 weeks. The road wil be closed to enable excavation and road reconstruction works.
Road user access to the area will be maintained via signed detours on Great Eastern Highway and Burswood Road during this time.
Access to Great Eastern Highway: Motorists travelling from Teddington Road to access Great Eastern Highway will need to turn right at Burswood Road. You will then be able to turn right or left via new signals at Great Eastern Highway.
Access to Lathlain from Great Eastern Highway: Those who would normally use Craig Street from Great Eastern Highway, will need to turn left earlier at the new Burswood Road signals to access Lathlain businesses and residences in Lathlain.
On 2 December 2016, the right-turn from Great Eastern Highway westbound into Victoria Park Drive closed permanently. Access to Victoria Park Drive is available via a new U-turn facility at Great Eastern Highway and Bolton Avenue intersection.

Works are underway and expected to be completed by May 2017.
To conduct all road works safely, reduced speed limits and traffic management will be in place. In addition, Perth Stadium has project-wide traffic management in place to manage the interface between general road users and construction traffic already operating through the area.
Lane closures and changing traffic conditions may be experienced through this precinct as part of the ongoing works. Road users should obey all signs and signals while moving through the area and are requested to plan their journey in advance.
Please note, the above dates are tentative and subject to change. Confirmed closures will be advertised in advance using on-site electronic message boards.
