Aimed at improving the reliability of bus services throughout Northbridge, we will deliver a new bus bridge and bus priority measures on behalf of the Public Transport Authority.

The project reached a major milestone with the realignment of the Mitchell Freeway southbound exit, from James Street to Roe Street on Sunday 18 December at 6am. The first bridge segments were launched in November and work along the western verge of Charles Street is almost complete.

Work hours are from 7am to 7pm, although some works may need to be completed out-of-hours. Look out for traffic management and shared path closures through the North Perth, Northbridge and West Perth area.
The following roadworks will be in place to facilitate this project:
Mitchell Freeway - near Charles Street to Newcastle Street
Northern shared path
From midday 23 November to 26 February
Charles Street shared path
Carr Street to Ivy Street
Western path closed
This project will see the construction of a new bus bridge and associated bus priority measures. This will enable buses from Perth's northern and north-western suburbs to avoid congested roads, including four sets of traffic signals in the Northbridge area.
